Overview

The Quorum is a next-generation mobile platform built for an exclusive members’ club — designed to redefine how members interact with events, reservations, perks, and community experiences.

This React Native application serves as a digital hub for club members across multiple branches, integrating AI-powered voice assistance, real-time event management, QR-based check-ins, and wallet transactions — all unified within a sleek, performant mobile experience.

I built the entire product from the ground up — from architecture and AI integration to UI design and deployment — working directly with stakeholders to deliver a fully production-ready app used by real members every day.

Goal: To create a smart, scalable, and seamless mobile experience that connects members, events, and AI assistance under one intelligent system.

My Role

As the Founding AI Engineer & Mobile Architect, I led the end-to-end development of The Quorum mobile app — owning every layer from design system to AI orchestration.

Key responsibilities included:

Architected a modular React Native + Expo app with feature-based structure
Built a streaming AI assistant powered by LangGraph + Whisper STT
Integrated Supabase Auth, Push Notifications, and FastAPI backend
Developed advanced event, wallet, and QR systems
Implemented CI/CD with EAS and real-time error tracking via Sentry

Problem Statement

Private member clubs like The Quorum required a modern mobile infrastructure to:

Manage multi-branch operations with role-based access
Offer intuitive, AI-driven assistance for members and admins
Streamline event management, reservations, and check-ins
Deliver real-time engagement through push notifications and voice commands
Maintain seamless performance across devices — even with offline access

Architecture Overview

High-Level Architecture

The Quorum app was architected for scalability, modularity, and intelligence. It integrates multiple layers — frontend (React Native), backend (FastAPI), and AI orchestration (LangGraph) — connected through Supabase authentication and real-time APIs.

Building the Foundation: Modular Mobile Architecture

The app follows a feature-based structure, allowing isolated development and scalable module addition.

Each domain (auth, events, wallet, AI assistant, reservations) has its own Redux slice, RTK Query endpoint, and screen flow — making the system maintainable and extendable.

1. AI Voice Assistant — Jango AI

Jango AI is the centerpiece of The Quorum app — a conversational assistant that allows members to interact naturally with the club.

The system streams incremental responses, providing a smooth chat-like experience — with zero latency perceptible to the user.

This module combined the flexibility of RTK Query and the fluidity of React Native Paper UI components for a rich member experience.

4. Wallet & Payments

Balance Tracking with categorized transactions

5. QR Scanning & Check-Ins

Closing Thoughts

The Quorum Club App was more than a mobile project — it was a deep dive into cross-platform engineering, applied AI, and systems thinking.

From designing a modular React Native architecture to orchestrating live AI streams with LangGraph and Whisper, this project demonstrated how mobile apps can become intelligent companions, not just utilities.
